About
FOH Productions

Started in a garage in 2008. Built on preparation. Measured in events delivered.

Eric Gilbert, Founder of FOH Productions
Since 2008

One Person Who
Cared More

FOH Productions started the way most great things do: one person who cared more than anyone else in the room. Founder Eric Gilbert left music school not because he lost his love for music, but because he found something he loved more: making sure it landed right.

From his first job as an AV technician at the Arizona Biltmore to touring with entertainers across the country, Eric built a reputation on two things: showing up prepared and never cutting corners. When he started FOH out of his garage in 2008, he wasn't just starting a business. He was building a culture.

One that said yes to the complex jobs others turned down, put in the work others skipped, and treated every event like their own name was on the marquee. Eighteen years and 15,000 events later, that culture is still the product.

How We Work

Our Live Event
Planning Process

Flawless execution doesn't happen by accident. Our success begins and ends with our proven planning process. We take project management to the extreme and pride ourselves in covering the minute details that most other companies fail to address. That's what sets us apart, and what keeps our clients coming back.

01

Contact & Initial Meeting

Every production starts with a conversation. At FOH, we take the time to learn your goals, challenges, audience, budget and how you define success for your event. Our team listens carefully to understand your vision, why it matters and how we can make it easier on you. We dig into the details to go beyond the basics and define the overall experience you want delivered. We then create a clear scope of work and proposal to ensure nothing is left to chance. The quote you get from us right from the beginning is complete and accurate. We hate surprises as much as you do.

02

Planning & Proposal

Project management is where we truly shine. Our approach is the backbone of every show, built on communication, organization and accountability. It all starts with the proposal. It will detail crew, equipment, logistics and costs in the clearest possible terms. This is collaborative and comprehensive.

03

Review & Adjust

After you review your proposal and plan, we review it together. Item by item, line by line. No uncrossed T's or undotted I's. We'll make any needed changes to accommodate shifts in budget, timeline or goals.

04

Finalize & Confirm

After all adjustments are made, we update the scope and lock in the plan. We confirm labor, travel, trucking and any unique needs for your show. From there, we move into preparation — where our attention to detail really kicks in.

05

Prep & Package

Every piece of gear is tested, labeled and carefully packed using our proprietary method refined over hundreds of live events. We then do a final complete order talk-through — every line item, every cable, every truck load. Multiple teams review it together to make sure nothing is missed. It's an extra step most companies skip. It's why we are one of the leading AV production companies in the Southwest.

06

On-Site Execution

Execution isn't where we figure things out — it's where preparation proves itself. We arrive with a plan, contingencies behind it, and a team trained to stay ahead of problems, not react to them. When something unexpected happens, and it always does, we resolve it before it impacts your show. Our goal is simple: your team never has to step in to manage our scope. Instead, you get the rare luxury of time — time to focus on the priorities that usually get pushed aside. That's what reliable execution actually looks like.

Our Equipment

Built for
the Biggest Moments

We own touring-grade equipment because the gear we run regularly is the gear we know best. Our Phoenix warehouse is stocked with inventory from the most reliable brands in live production, the same gear used on major concert tours and national broadcast productions.

When a show requires more, we work with a trusted network of partners. The crew running your show is always ours. When it arrives on-site, it works.

FAQ

About FOH Productions

When was FOH Productions founded and who started it?+

FOH Productions was founded in 2008 by Eric Gilbert. Eric started the company after years of experience as an AV technician at the Arizona Biltmore and touring with entertainers across the country. He built FOH Productions from a garage operation into a full-scale production company with a team of 70+ professionals. The culture he established on day one is still the product today.

How many events has FOH Productions produced?+

FOH Productions has produced more than 15,000 events since 2008, spanning corporate general sessions, annual conferences, product launches, awards galas, executive summits, and large-scale multi-day meetings. That volume means there is almost no scenario our team has not seen and solved.

What is FOH Productions' event planning process?+

FOH Productions follows a six-step planning methodology: Site Assessment (advance venue walkthroughs and technical surveys), System Design (custom equipment specifications matched to each event), Advance Logistics (pre-production coordination and scheduling), Load-In & Build (structured crew setup with full redundancy checks), Show Execution (every system live, every transition prepped, every contingency covered), and Strike & Debrief (professional breakdown and post-event review). Every event gets the same rigor regardless of size.

What makes FOH Productions different from other AV companies in Phoenix?+

Three things set us apart. First, we own all our equipment. No rental surprises, no third-party unknowns, no gear showing up that nobody knows how to operate. Second, our average lead technician has 25+ years of industry experience, meaning every show is run by someone who has done it hundreds of times. Third, every client gets a single point of contact: one production manager who owns your event from the first call through strike, so nothing falls through the cracks.

What are FOH Productions' 33 Fundamentals?+

The 33 Fundamentals are the operating principles that guide every decision our team makes, on-site and off. They cover everything from how we communicate with clients to how we prep gear, handle problems on the fly, and treat each other as a crew. They are not a marketing document. They are how we actually work, and they are the reason clients keep coming back.
